At the end of the month we will be hosting the first board breaking tournament on
Long Island. It will be held at the Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma and is open for
children thru adults-beginner to black belt. An event for everyone!
Event Results
Sunday March 25, 2007- Congratulations to Alex Petrillo on earning his Black Belt.
He was tested for 5 hours straight and being the smallest kid on the test it was a
challenge for him. Alex proved with his many years of training that he was ready
physically and mentally for this prestigious rank. Great job Alex!
Friday March 30, 2007- Congrats to all of our fighters at Sports Plus. Ed Unkel,
Mike Giordano, Tyson Jones all won their fights! Rob Peppers fought a great fight,
but lost the decision. It was thought that Rob had won from everyone else. Great
exhibitions from Alex Petrillo and Brian “The Rebel” Rochford. Brian will be fighting
for the world title April 20th. For more the complete results, check out our website.
Board Breaking Class- Make sure you attend all your board breaking classes
before the tournament. For extra help make sure to set up a private lesson. A
private lesson will help you set up a routine for the day of the tournament. This will
give you a better understanding of what to expect and do at the tournament.
New Ranks in March- Adults-Sean Caldwell from the Adult class earned his
Orange belt and Steve Manz earned his Green Belt. This is a big step in his
training, as now he is considered a Martial Artist. Congratulations guys! Keep up
the good work!!!
Classes Canceled - NO Kickboxing classes Thursday April 19- Saturday April 21,
No Juniors class Friday April 6th, No Men’s Kickboxing Saturday April 7th

April 20, 2007- Brian “The Rebel’ Rochford fights Kenny Blackburn for the USKBA
AMATEUR WELTWEIGHT WORLD TITLE, the fight will take place in Florida.
Campbell’s fight team will bring 4 other member down there to fight. Ed Unkel,
Robert Peppers, Keith Peterson, and Mike Giordano.
April 28, 2007 - Campbell’s Fight Team heads to Rahway NJ for MMA fights in the
cage! Tickets will be available at the school soon.
April 28, 2007- Long Island Kempo Alliance Breaking Tournament at the Holiday
Inn in Ronkonkoma open to all ranks and all ages. All applications MUST be
received by Wednesday April 25th.
