This month we have a giant kickboxing show, with 8 members of our school
fighting. On March 30th at the Sports Plus arena in Lake Grove will be the
host of our biggest fight team to date as well as our youngest fighter to step
into the ring. Come out and show your school support and cheer on our eight
fighters.
Event Results - Friday February 9, 2007- Bobby “Jackhammer” Campbell
fought to a draw with Jose Guzman at Suffolk community college. Many
people thought Bobby was the winner. A rematch will happen later this year.

Friday February 23, 2007- Derrick Strong wins the New York State muay thai
title in good fashion with a 1st round tko. Robert Peppers won his boxing
match, which was a toe to toe war. Keith Peterson won his first muay thai
fight. Mike Giordano fought a kickboxing exhibition. More details and pictures

New Board Breaking Class- Starts March 2nd at 6:00pm. Classes meet
every other week until the breaking tournament. See Master Tom for more
details.
NO KEMPO KARATE CLASSES- Saturday March 10th there will be no
kempo karate classes. Sorry for inconvenience. NO Pee Wees, NO Juniors,
and NO Adults Classes.
New Ranks in February- Juniors class- Evelyn W. & Shannon K. earned their
yellow belt. Melissa B. earned her orange belt. Lauren, Caitlin, Meghan, and
Nicholas earned their purple belts. Pee Wee class-Max earned yellow and
Alex & Caelyn earned their orange belts. Mia earned her blue with a stripe.
Adults - Steve Manz earns his green belt. He is our first student to earn green
belt in our school. Congratulations to all! Keep up the good work!!!
New school added to Kempo Alliance- Sensei Anthony Baranta of Patchogue
joins the Kempo Alliance. For more information check out www.likempo.com

March 25, 2007- Master Tom will be giving a black belt test, it starts at 9 am
all are welcome to stop by and check it out. Taking the test will be Alex
Petrillo from our school and many others from the kempo alliance. Good Luck

bout. Brian “The Rebel” Rochford defends his WKA title. Derrick Strong, Ed
Unkel and Robert Peppers, face their toughest opponents as they will be the
under dogs. 11 year old Alex Petrillo makes his debut. Also Mike Giordano
and Tyson Jones both fight in Cruiserweight fights. Tickets are $50 for
ringside and $45 for General admission. Come show your school support.
Also make sure you represent your school by wearing a school t-shirt or
sweatshirt.
April 28, 2007- Long Island Kempo Alliance Breaking Tournament at the
Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma open to all ranks and all ages. All applications
MUST be received by Wednesday April 25th.
