| New Instructor - We would like to welcome Sensei Christina Conlon to our staff. Sensei Christina is a 1st Degree Black Belt and has trained in many styles including: Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Escrima Stick Fighting, Wing Chung, and Pencak Silat. Christina has already been teaching for a few weeks and is doing a great job. Keep up the good work! New Ranks - Adults - A very dedicated Sean Caldwell earned his blue belt. Awesome Job Sean!!! Event Results- August 11, 2007- Campbell’s Fight Team goes undefeated - 3 wins no losses. Brian “The Rebel” Rochford successfully defended his PKF World Title by decision. Rob “Superman” Peppers also won by decision and showed his conditioning, as his opponent started to tire, Rob started picking up the pace. Mike Giordano won his fight by decision with a great display of his left hook punches. Ed “Bad Intentions” was scheduled to fight, but his opponent backed out last minute. The Campbell Fight team is now on a 12 win fight streak!!! Upcoming events: Sept. 15, 2007- Keith Peterson will be fighting for another MMA title in Rahway New Jersey, which is about an hour away. Tickets are only $30 each. October 5, 2007- 8 members of the Campbell Fight Team will be fighting in various style bouts. Including 3 title bouts. Tickets are $45 and the event is in Franklin Square. October 12, 2007 - Bobby will be returning to the kickboxing ring, as he faces fast kicker Paul Gutierrez. The event will be held in Manhattan. Tickets are $75,$50, and $35 (Standing only). If anyone is interested in coming to any of these events see an instructor for more details. PLEASE COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT TO THE FIGHT TEAM!!! Nov. 11, 2007 - We will be holding our second annual Long Island Kempo Alliance Tournament. Applications will be available soon. Leave this date open, as this is an important event for all Kempo students. |
